When I hit the drill full throttle the end of the nut driver starts spinning out of balance about an 1/8 of an inch.

I mainly use it with 6 inch nut drivers for my job.
With the spider and side gears out, the ring and pinion backlash seems to be very, very small - although I do not have a dial indicator to tell me the exact number. Is there anyway to eliminate excessive play on an impact driver I have the Milwaukee fuel m18 2nd gen driver. I snapped some photographs of the gears in hopes that some of the more experienced people on here can school me and tell me what they see. I could rock the side gears on the center pin side to side and there seemed to be an excessive amount of backlash between the side and spider gears, but honestly, I don't know too much about differentials to know what is acceptable and what is excessive. This can be the next stage of deterioration after having insufficient grease in the u-joint bearings. No missing teeth, but I did observe a lot of slop between the side and spider gears. This noise usually indicates that the universal joint bearings have enough excess clearance to allow the driveshaft to rotate slightly, then come to a hard stop, when power is reversed. fluid so I decided to pop the cover off today and do a full inspection of the gears. It's been 30K miles since I last replaced the rear diff. When you slow down and come to a complete stop, you'll hear and feel a "clunk." Changing from reverse to drive (and vice versa) nets you a nice "clunk." The "clunk" has become more pronounced as of late so I decided to finally chase it down. Ever since I've owned the thing it has had a noticeable driveline "clunk." Anytime you're cruising and you tap the accelerator, it will "clunk". Hey yall, I just picked up a new DRZ about a week ago, and it seems to have a lot of play in the driveline and I wanted to see if this is normal for these bikes. i dont track or anything but i do some spirited driving for sure Click to expand. i have 20k on my stock clutch and its still holding up. jack her up and start checking the drive shaft half shafts for anything wore or re torque stuff just to be reassured its tight.
